Exped footprints protect the tent floor from abraison, dirt and humidity. Shaped like the tent floor, but 10 cm (4“) smaller all around to prevent rain from collecting between footprint and tent floor. The footprint also covers the vestibule floor space to protect the vestibule from dirt and humidity. The footprint reduces condensation rising from the ground, hereby improving the inner tent climate.Combine footprint and rainfly to travel extra light (except Lyra II and III). Ein Footprint wird zusätzlich unter das Zelt gelegt und schützt den Boden vor Abrieb sowie Schmutz. Er weist dieselbe Form auf wie der Zeltgrundriss, ist aber etwas kleiner geschnitten, damit kein Regen zwischen Zeltboden und Footprint gelangen kann. Diese praktische Unterlage wird mit elastischen Bändern ganz einfach direkt am Zelt und den Heringen befestigt. In der Apsis schützt der Footprint wie ein Teppich und sorgt so für weniger Schmutz im Zelt. Zusätzlich wird auch die Bildung von Kondensfeuchtigkeit reduziert. Ein Footprint kann auch als Tarp gegen Regen, Wind und Sonne aufgespannt werden.
