Amazon The legendary pioneer of the Chicago blues scene, Buddy Guy, had just turned 57 when he paired up with Albert Collins for a series of live dates in 1993, but he was still one of the most exhilarating guitarists in the world, and still in powerful voice. Captured at the Warner Theater in Washington DC, on April 9, 1993 broadcast live on WWDC-FM radio, Guy rips from the start with his intoxicating, innovative style acting as a sledgehammer or, as guitarist John Mayer accurately calls it, 'a sonic tsunami', with Carlos Santana deeming it 'like a tornado or a hurricane'.
