Red Dirt Town

On their second studio album, Red Dirt Town, the Allen-Forrester Band returns with ten brand-new songs that build on the band’s roots in Southern Rock, Blues and Americana while pushing their sound in new directions. Formed by New York guitarists Josh Allen and Ben Forrester, the band combines their twin-guitar sound with the driving rhythm section of Hendrik Herder on bass and Matthias Böhm on drums. Drawing inspiration from the Allman Brothers Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Black Crowes and Blackberry Smoke, Red Dirt Town blends classic Southern Rock with elements of modern Americana and Country Rock. Recorded to analog tape, with no use of AI, the album captures the band’s organic, guitar-driven sound with warm vintage tones and a modern production approach. Simon Oslender adds Hammond organ and piano throughout the record, while Gustavo Strauß brings his distinctive fiddle playing to “White Picket Fences.” Red Dirt Town is the next chapter in the Allen-Forrester Band’s journey.
